Bench Calculators
Day to day bench maths: length to mass, amount conversions, OD260 readings and dilution planning.
Length → mass and amounts
Average molar mass from the length, then convert a quantity into every unit you may need.

How it is computed
So you can check the numbers yourself.
- dsDNA ≈ 650 g/mol per bp, ssDNA ≈ 330, RNA ≈ 340, protein ≈ 110 per residue.
- c (M) = A260 × dilution ÷ ε, with a 1 cm path length.
- Dilution uses C1 × V1 = C2 × V2 with the same units on both sides.
